Who Am I?

First, the answer to the proverbial question. “Why do I have a weblog?”

Well, first I just thought it would be fun. I am a self-professed computer geek with a love for almost anythig technological. I love the fact that, with the aid of my computer, an internet connection and the webhosting generosity of the people at wordpress.com, I can interact with people from all over the world. That is so cool. Secondly, I love Jesus. I love to talk about Him and feel called to inspire other people to enter into a living and dynamic relationship with the King of Kings. I hope that by the use of this weblog I am able to ignite in the people who stumble across it a pasion to know Him more. I would love your comments and feedback. I would love to develop and be a part of an online community that can exchange ideas and encourage one another in our pursuit of truth and purpose.

With that said, we can get to the “Who am I” of this page.

I am a preacher’s son from West Texas. I did my fair share of living into the stereotype that “preacher’s kids are the worst.” Thankfully I got saved and now am doing my best to live into the Godly heritage that my parents have prepared for me.

I spent 5 years in the mission field. I spent time in South America and Europe, travelled all over the U.S. and helped train other missionaries to take the love of Jesus to the ends of the earth.

Now I am student at Texas Tech University and work for a college ministry in Lubbock. I have one more semester of undergraduate work and then its off to seminary.

I love my wife, Logan. We met while we were both serving with YWAM. She spent 6 years in the mission field. She works with me at the Wesley Foundation. We feel called to minister the healing and liberating power of God to a broken and enslaved world.
